I am Izabela and I am an indoor cycling instructor with a 3 years of teaching (over 1000 classes) under my belt. I am also a Level 3 personal trainer but I do not work as a PT focusing fully on teaching indoor cycling instead.
I have studied with different certifying bodies: YMCA, Keiser, Wattbike, SpinPower, Team ICG and Velocity Indoor Cycling and as a result I have been teaching on most bikes available across London including Spinners, Schwinn bikes, Technogym, Wattbikes & Matrix IC7. Hoping to add Stages to this portfolio very soon.
I am an accountant by day (still) and then teach in the mornings, lunchtimes and evenings with 11 weekly classes across London.
I am veering towards what some call pure form cycling when I teach. That means I still teach mostly to the beat with music playing a very important role in my classes but I do not do any so called “contraindicated” moves so upper body moves on the bike. I strongly believe that riding a bike is a leg exercise, it’s not a whole body workout. I am a stickler for technique.
I am still quite new to outdoor cycling but I have completed my first Gran Fondo (Tour of Cambridgeshire) in June 2015, spent a week cycling in Spain, a few weekends around Britain and Holland and 2 weeks on a trip around Costa Rica. Most of these on my beloved Pinnacle Hybrid bike. And the biggie in Costa Rica on a local hybrid MTB.
Plans for 2016 include http://www.etapelochness.com/ and a repeat of the Gran Fondo http://www.tourofcambridgeshire.com/Tour_of_Cambridge_Gran_Fondo.php.
