I am Izabela and I am an indoor cycling instructor. I taught my first class in December 2012 and reached 2000 classes in 2017. I am also a Level 3 personal trainer but I focus fully on teaching indoor cycling and work as a soft tissue therapist.
I have studied with different certifying bodies: YMCA, Keiser, Wattbike, SpinPower, Team ICG, Velocity Indoor Cycling and Stages and as a result I have been teaching on most bikes available across London including Spinners, Schwinn bikes, Technogym, Wattbikes, Matrix IC7, IC6 and Stages.
I am an accountant by day (still) and then teach in the mornings, lunchtimes and evenings with 11 weekly classes across London.
I am veering towards what some call pure form cycling when I teach. That means I still teach mostly to the beat with music playing a very important role in my classes but I do not do any so called “contraindicated” moves so upper body moves on the bike. I strongly believe that riding a bike is a leg exercise, it’s not a whole body workout. I am a stickler for technique.
I am still just an amateur outdoor cyclist but I have completed two Gran Fondo races (Tour of Cambridgeshire), spent a week cycling in Spain, a few weekends around Britain and Holland, cycled around Costa Rica and Colombia and climbed Mont Ventoux. Most of these on hybrid bikes.
